The Dynamic Duo

It really doesn't bother me all that much that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is coming to the U.N. again. After all, the U.N. is the world's bastion of civic dysfunction, so what better place for the freaky little goat-humper to show up and deliver yet another rambling sermon. I know the "goat-humper" bit is quite disrespectful, not really acceptable from a really-real writer - that's why it works for me.

What bothers me more is where the bandy-legged, bearded butt-monkey is going next. To my favorite South American country: Venezuela. We all know who lives in Venezuela: Benito Jr.

For review purposes: I think Hugo Chavez could be Benito Mussolini's grandson, and I think he will eventually share the same fate as Il Duce.

You think we should be worried about Iran getting nuclear capability? How far behind do think Chavez and Venezuela will be? Benito Jr. has already hinted that it may be in their future, but at this point I think he's just doing it to jerk our chain - but it won't always be that way. Cuba was an island, and JFK could blockade the nukes coming in. Developing the scientific ability and the necessary materials to construct a nuclear weapon can be done in a much more clandestine manner than just bringing in rocket launchers. It may just get to be a whole lot tougher to enforce the Monroe Doctrine in the 21st Century.

Yet we blithely go on filling up at Citgo stations and putting millions of dollars into the pockets of a South American lunatic dedicated to whatever is bad for us.

Come on and wake up Northern New York! Let's start the boycott here! Don't buy gas, don't purchase anything from someone who deals with Citgo. Making a stinking buck at the expense of your fellow countrymen is allowable - that's capitalism, but when it also works to the detriment of your fellow countrymen and increases a potential threat to their security, then it's time to look for a different distributor.
BOYCOTT CITGO -

PAY A FEW PENNIES MORE OUT OF YOUR POCKET

TO KEEP THE DOLLARS OUT OF HUGO'S POCKETS!

Sorry I had to delete my first comment because I left out a word. So here it is again.

How about posting some facts based on evidence on why we should dislike Chavez? Telling me that he "humps goats" and looks like a monkey butt doesn't really give me alot to work with.

Benito Jr. has:

1.) Nationalized many industries, including most importantly, the oil industry. The latest movement was the seizure of a Heinz Ketchup factory - which has disturbed all those ketchup folks down in PA.

2.) Made it known that any foreign journalist that disparages Mr. Chaves will be subject to immediate ejection from the country

3.) Closed down the last remaining independent TV station - now all media outlets are under government control

4.) Fidel's lapdog - hopes to take over leadership of anti-American movement in this hemisphere.

5.) Recently agreed to multi-billion dollar arms purchases, including submarines and attach helicopters, from the Russians.

6.) Established a close relationship with Iran to become a major player in the anti-American movement world-wide.

7.) Working with frontman and shill Robert Kennedy Jr., promotes the sale of cheap heating oil to New Englanders used to getting a handout. Villages in Alaska have told him to take his cheap heating oil and shove it ... way to go Alaska

8.) Has stated repeatedly his desire for a socialist state, the elimination of capitalism, and support for anything that will harm American interests, other than the PR crap with the heating oil.

Every time we fill up at a Citgo station, that's more dollars for a sworn enemy of our government. Since we, the people, are the government - you get the idea. It also helps that Cindy Sheehan, Harry Belafonte and Sean Penn all think he's a great statesman, and I have all the reasons I need to keep a very close eye on Venezuela and not give Citgo any of my business.

Ok, thanks for the "facts" you got those out pretty quickly, where did you find them? Now cite the evidence that supports those facts.

1. Watson, I'd think you would be happy that Chavez nationalized Heinz catsup. Isn't Heinz owned by those evil liberals Theresa and John? I wonder if Saudi Arabia has any nationalized industries or if Iraq has nationalized it's oil? Oh, I forgot, G.W. likes those countries.

2. True, Chavez did say that foreign reporters that dis his country would be expelled. He said that back in July. Show me where any reporter has actually been expelled? Chavez says alot of things that really don't mean much.

This was also published in July. Foreign journalists and NGOs operate freely in Venezuela and about 80% of the domestic media is in private hands. Mr Chávez's supporters say he has behaved with remarkable restraint given that much of the private media openly backed a coup which briefly ousted him in 2002.

3. True, the Chavez government did not renew the license of RCTV. Do you know the reasons they decided to do this? Do you care? 95% of the Venezuelian media is opposed to Hugo Chavez (ask yourself why). 90% of the television market is in private hands including Venevision, Globovision, Televen and CMT. I wonder how many conservatives want to shut down National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service in the USA?

More to come.

#4. So he wants to take over leadership of the anti-American movement in S. America. Why are there anti-America feelings in S. America?

#5. Chavez is increasing the size of his military. I wonder why he might be doing that? Couldn't be because some super powers feel than can pre-emptively attack sovereign nations could it? What country is the leading supplier of weapons in the world?

#6. He established a relationship with Iran. Isn't that exactly what the USA should try to do? I think an argument can be made that the US is chasing Chavez into relationships with our enemies just like we did with Castro and Cuba.

#7. Would you be equally upset if the oil was sold through a non-profit company fronted by a conservative? I don't know what you pay for fuel oil but I wouldn't mind some cheap fuel oil. Do you really object to poor people being able to purchase cheap fuel oil? Maybe you think they should freeze to death. Who do you think refines that oil for Chavez? Couldn't be anyone in Texas could it? Do you know anything about the oil in Venezuela and it's relationship to geopolitics or do you think it doesn't matter.

8. He wants a socialist state. Do the people of Venezuela want a socialist state? Do they have the right to decide their form of government?

In lieu of enumerative responses, suffice it to say I don't like anyone taking over someone else's business, whether it happens in Saudi Arabia or Venezuela. Nor do I intend to support someone who means to harm this country. If the poor people in Taxachusetts want his oil, fine, I prefer the Alaskan approach. Is Benito Jr. paranoid about Uncle Sam, or building up his military to keep them happy and on his side for when he decides not to step down as El Jeffe? He could surprise me and step down while placing a handpicked stooge in his place, but I think he likes the limelight too much. If you like the guy, buy his gas - it's a free country, but I wouldn't predict the same thing for Venezuela in the future.

It's pretty much the same with most of you conservatives. You love to spout off "facts" but you don't really see the need to your facts up with evidence. You also never see the need to see something from the other guys viewpoints. It's so simple being conservative. It's black or it's white. It's right or it's wrong. You're with us or against us. It gets kind of tiresome and people in this country are beginning to realize it.

I appreciate the depth of your sincerity - you have to really have your head all the way up your ass to see the world the way you do. Leaving hate America first liberals such as yourself in charge of our security would be dangerous if it wasn't for the fact that we have the world's best military, no thanks to the General Betrayus/MoveOn.losers that you obviously drink from the same troth with. As I noted in one of my very first blogs, I'm willing to have an honest discussion with anyone, or trade invective, and it would appear that you've made your choice. So be it.

I served in the US Navy 1972 - 1976. Hopefully you served our country too. I disagree that I hate America just because I want to hear two sides of a story or because I question why hate and war instead of diplomacy. Like a typical conservative, once again you resort to name calling and calling someone a "hate America liberal". That really is so much easier to do than to come up with facts to support your assertations.

Oh good golly Miss Molly, can't we all just get along? You keep your Pollyanna perspective, you're entitled as an American. Besides, it makes you feel so superior because you want to hear two sides and talk. Bullshit - you want to hear your side, period. You're not interested in anyone else's opinion that does not agree with yours, and as far as a desire for facts, I've yet to meet a liberal that would let a fact get in the way of a heartfelt opinion. You think you have a monopoly on wanting peace? Of course you do, most liberals are pretentious enough to think of themselves as quite superior when it comes to wanting peace. Then, after the attacks come, it's never your fault, because you're so special, because you love everybody. I suppose you think Fidel Castro is a great statesman as well? I don't know what they did to you in the Navy - do they still keelhaul people? (Rhetorical) Too much saltwater apparently.

Well, this has been fun, enjoy the rest of your day. Why not celebrate like those other great Americans in Washington DC yesterday who wore the names of deceased servicemen and women while they had their "die-in". You've had a good week: NY Times discounts on traitorous, slanderous ads by MoveOn.losers, die-ins, arrests, assauts on police officers, preparing white flags for surrender - yep, you liberals have had a great week - so go out and enjoy your day, knowing that you and your friends have done your best this week to denigrate a good soldier, our Armed Forces in general, and then you top it off by showing the greatest disrespect possible for those who have given their lives. Yeah - you liberals are something special.
